Circle Line Extension

I was fortunate to be invited as a "Friend of LTA" to witness the official opening of the final final stage of the Circle Line - the extension from Promenade to Marina Bay. It'll be the last for quite a while, at least until 2027 when the port's lease on the Keppel area, an obstacle between Marina Bay and HarbourFront, expires.

Breakfast Tasting at The Rotisserie

I was actually quite excited about today's tasting. The Rotisserie at China Square is small, but I've heard great things about their gourmet salads, quiches, sandwiches and of course, chicken, so I was eager to taste how the breakfast menu would be like.

I'm not sure why, but my camera somehow didn't save the picture of my breakfast. Maybe, it knew what I was thinking. I ordered Aussie Breakfast, long story short, is McDonald's Breakfast Deluxe, give or take a few items.

The only thing decent was the BBQ Chicken Panini, which was delicious.

Swarovski Spring/Summer 2012 Collection Preview at The Luxe

After the media tasting, Chia Erhn and I rushed down. The place, which looked serious at the Blackberry launch previously, was transformed into a pink palace...

I won't say much, and just bombard you with pictures. Lots of them!

After the tour and introduction, Swarovski treated us to a showcase of designer jewellery which will NEVER be sold to the general public.

Haagen Dazs "Journey of Indulgence"

It's too good to be true, isn't it? Spend SGD 50 before taxes and receive a complimentary pair of tickets to bask under the glitzy lights of the Christmas decorations in town on an open top bus complete with ice cream and champagne. Well, it's true, and we were invited to sample the experience.

It wouldn't be Haagen Dazs if we didn't actually eat any real ice cream, so off we were, trying their Christmas specials. The waffles isn't though, just the result of a very nice gesture from the people at Haagen Dazs.

British Polo Day and a Korean dinner

I received this invite, and I was actually excited to go even though noone shared my enthusiasm.

First, it was the media breakfast at Intercontinental Hotel.

Then we were chauffered in style in a Jaguar. One of the most comfortable rides ever!

Let the games begin! First, it was Eton vs. Harrow, then British Army vs. Singapore Polo Club.

Special thanks to the fair ladies below... They look a little tired and stressed out. Don't blame them, it's not easy handling such a big event alone.

After that, went home to shower a bit, then met Darren at Chinatown for a Korean dinner at Tojo.

Overall, it was not bad. Wouldn't mind coming back again.
