We weren't sure where we'd be eating, but eventually, Keidi decided on this place adjacent to Bugis Junction, and has been there since time immemorial. And after eating, I know why - the food's good!
We shared Mapo Toufu which was not as spicy and oily as I hoped it'd be, but it was still nice.

And finally, mine. Fried snapper fish soup. I've gotta admit, the fish was a little too cooked for my liking. It's not the best, but it's A LOT better than most places.
